Early, Eerie Manchester

A couple of weeks ago I completed the difficult task of getting up at 6 in the morning and going out around central Manchester to take photos. I wanted to discover what Manchester would feel and look like with noone around. I took several photos using two different digital cameras.
The photos that I liked the most were the ones that were slightly blurred, I think the more blurred images give a eerier feel to them. It shows that the photo itself is not the most important bit, the emptiness and feeling of the photo is much more important.
From these images I aim to look at the colour, I feel they will probably produce a wide colour range which shall be good to start with and as i progress with the project I'm sure this will narrow down. I also want to create my own responses to the images, possibly creating drawings using mark making. I have also been given an old Olympus camera that used to belong to my dad, I would quite like to experiment with using a film camera rather than digital to see what effects I can create.
